PROJECT HAIYAN (Nov 2013 to current)

On Nov 8th, 2013, Typhoon Haiyan (or Yolanda in Philippines) devastated a large part of Philippines, particularly Tacloban, and Bantayan Island causing thousands of deaths and destroyed hundred of thousands of homes.ACROSS, in partnering with Singapore Red Cross, responded in providing medical relief, and helped in the reconstruction of Bantayan Island by providing zinc roofing for 6,800 homes and building 3 water filtration facilities which provide clean filtered water to some 150,000 residents every week.
